In a piece of artwork, be sure to include these 5 elements. You can include them in any way that makes sense to you: through images, writing, colour, texture, etc. Get creative! Share your artwork on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #take5latin or in the comments below! I will update this post with my own artwork when it is done.

Below is my interpretation of the image. I'd love to see yours in the comments below or on Twitter/Instagram with the hashtag #take5latin. This image was created with watercolours applied with a plastic bag and through brush tip, acrylic applied with a clear stamp, nail polish, washi tape, a die cut, Staedtler Fine Liners, Tombow Calligraphy pen, and a dog sticker. This art project was inspired by a Youtuber whose videos I watch regularly: Helen Colebrook. She is part of a group of artists/journalers who create and participate in a monthly Take 5 challenge. Each challenge has 5 elements that must be included into a piece of artwork. Each artist has their own style, which makes each piece of artwork unique. While their project includes a mix of media items, paint styles, drawing styles, and objects, this project will be a little different.
Each month, I will post the challenge on this page. Then, as it is finished, I will post the results and invite others to pots theirs on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #take5latin, or the comments below the post. Rather than including all the elements that the original project does, this project will have 5 Latin words to be included in the art. The first challenge will be in June, so stay tuned! |
